Day Sponsorships

About Day Sponsorships:

  • With a donation of $500 or more, donors are entitled to “sponsor” a day of programming on KCHU. A personal message of your choosing will be broadcast three (3) times on the air on the date of your choice (barring any scheduling conflicts). Donors who give $1,000 or more are eligible for two (2) day sponsorships within a 12-month period.
  • Please submit your day sponsorship message along with the date that you’d like to reserve to development@kchu.org. If we do not hear from you electronically, you will receive more information from us through the mail within six weeks of your donation.
  • Day sponsorships must be personal, non-commercial and non-promotional in nature. Therefore, we cannot use a day sponsorship to announce times, dates, or locations of any event. We also cannot list web addresses or phone numbers in day sponsorship messages.   • Once we have received your message and your day sponsorship has been scheduled, we will contact you with the times your message is scheduled to be on the air. Please make sure you give an email address or a daytime phone number when you submit your message so we have a way to contact you.
  • Your message will be broadcast three (3) times on the date of your choice. Please have a second date in mind in case of scheduling conflicts.

Day Sponsorship Guidelines:

  • We require a minimum of 14 days notice so we have time to get your message approved, produced, & scheduled.
  • Day sponsorship messages must be 15 seconds or less when read in an even, unhurried manner. Please see reverse for examples of announcement wording.
  • Day sponsorships are non-transferable; the on-air announcement must list the name of the person or persons making the donation.
  • Day sponsorships must be redeemed within twelve months of your contribution date.
  • Day sponsorships will not affect the tax-deductibility of your donation.
  • KCHU will have final approval of all day sponsorship messages.
