Height of Fashion Wine Walk guests to KCHU were treated to a yummy assortment of fruits, hummus and chips, and cheeses and crackers, along with ample pouring of the Barefoot Cabernet. The KCHU stop-off for Wine Walk is hosted by the KCHU Board of Directors each year. This year’s Board of Director hosts were Harold Blehm, Sue Bergstrom – Secretary, and Paul Nylund – President. We hope everyone had a safe and fun evening. KCHU is a non-profit, community public radio and encourages community members to drop in any time (not just Wine Walk!) at the station located at 128 Pioneer Drive, Valdez, to find out more about KCHU, or tell us your ideas of how we can serve you better.

KCHU will again be participating in the Wine Walk! The Wine Walk is 5-7:30pm tonight (Friday)! Sales for “walkers” start at noon today. Gold Rush representatives will be set up under a tent next to the Gold Rush Store across from the Post Office. Cost for the wristband, wine glass and map is $20.
KCHU Board of Directors members will be serving you Barefoot Cabernet and light snacks. We invite you to come by and chat with Harold Blehm from 5-6, Sue Bergstrom from 5-7:30 or President, Paul Nylund, from 6-7:30.
The latest benefit we have added for KCHU underwriters is a card rack in the entry-way. We do not have rack cards from all our underwriters but we do have some out and we also have some other community information out. Feel free to pick up information about some of the businesses that help support KCHU.

Are you a KCHU member who has always wanted to get involved? Here’s a chance to get your feet wet. The Fundraising Committee is looking for members from all the communities in the Prince William Sound and the Copper River Valley covered by KCHU, KXGA and KXKM Radio. The focus of this committee is to formulate an annual plan for fundraising activities, oversee implementation of that plan and recruit volunteers. Other than membership, all you need to participate is an imagination, a commitment to attend four one-to-two hour meetings per year and communicate occasionally between meetings, and to assist in recruiting volunteers for specific activities. There is no monetary obligation tied to committee membership and you are free to participate in events as much or as little as you feel able. If you are interested in becoming a committee member, email firstname.lastname@example.org with FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE in the subject line or send a private message from the KCHU Facebook page and a committee member will contact you.
