KCHU Board of Directors conducted a meeting in Cordova on Saturday, September 20th.  The all-day meeting started with a general meeting session 10am to noon, followed by a lunch break. The afternoon included a hike to see the relay tower and a work session to plan a fundraising and events calendar. After a short break BOD members gathered at The Orca Restaurant for an exceptional three course dinner, then headed to lodgings, as most had to be on the ferry early Sunday morning for the return trip to Valdez. KCHU would like to thank the people and community of Cordova for the warm welcome, especially Liz Senear, Cordova Library, and Laura’s Suites.

  • We Have A Winner!

    new tWe Have A Winner!

In a very close race for favorite new KCHU t-shirt design, the “Listener Powered KCHU” t-shirt won by just a few votes through Facebook. This fab design was created by Karen Allred. Thank you everyone who voted. If your favorite shirt did not win, don’t despair. The other designs will be kept for the next time. We hope to have this fun little competition each year.

You do not have to wait for the Fall Membership Drive to claim your shirt! Just go to Facebook KCHU: Community Public Radio and click on Donate/Shop tab at the top. Then make a $50 (or more is good) donation. We will put your t-shirt in the mail with a thank you letter and receipt when we get the donation confirmation. It is that easy!

Fall Membership Drive will offer the great new shirts, as well as a variety of other incentives for donors.  The drive will run from 7am Tuesday, September 30 through 7 pm Tuesday, October 7. KCHU is in need of volunteers to help work front office (or share your story of what you enjoy about about KCHU on-air) during these days/times. Volunteers get our gratitude and lots of free yummies donated by Safeway. (Okay – this one may not be a selling point for some of us!) If you can help at all please email development@kchu.org or call 835-4665.
